Cibryen Weyr Board of Directors

Email: bod[at]cibryen.com

The BoD are the OOC administrative body of the club. They make and enforce the rules, approve new characters, and cook up the occasional natural disaster. They are the first point of contact for many new members, and the people you need to give a heads-up to if you plan to leave. Cibryen's current BoD are:

Danie
Emma
Shane

Weyrcouncil

Email: weyrcouncil[at]cibryen.com

The Weyrcouncil consists of the Weyrwoman, the Weyrleader, the Weyrsecond, the Weyrwoman Second, the Headwoman, the Weyrlingmaster, and any Lord or Lady Holders. Cibryen's Weyrcouncil currently consists of:

Avril
Claire
Jen
Sara

The Weyr Council is responsible for weyr-wide plots. Anything disastrous still has to be approved by the BoD, but for most things, the Weyr Council is autonomous. The BoD is not a part of the Weyr Council list. Any member can send an email to the weyrcouncil - AT - cibryen.com address, and any questions concerning plots should be directed there. The only plots that must be approved are character deaths, mass disasters, and Pern-wide plots.

So what is the Weyr Council NOT?

The Weyr Council is NOT the BoD. The two are actually mutually exclusive. They do not approve characters, or make rule changes. They have strictly IC duties. If you need the Weyrleader or the Weyrwoman, you email the same address, rather than trying to look up the email of the person you're looking for. The Weyrcouncil doesn't dictate where the weyr is going, either...they are still subject to the same rules the regular membership is, because they *are* regular members. The only difference is we've given them an easy list to coordinate their efforts, and a little more freedom in plotting things. Threadfalls, for example, don't actually need to be approved by the BoD anymore.

For a list of the current Weyrcouncil members, check the main persona page.

History of the Club

Cibryen Weyr was established in 1997 by two Pern nuts in a Yahoo! chat room. They were terrible Mary Sues, and both of them wanted their very own gold. ;) So Kim Smith and Jess Duncan established Cibryen Weyr, which came to full growth in September of 1997. Both girls grew into women in the club, and their personae, Kimana and Celaena, both remained a part of Cibryen weyr until 2004. In December of 2004 they both stepped down, leaving Cibryen to the next generation of Pern fans.
