Brief physical description: Lord Kymblar is a great bull of a man, with a broad chest and shoulders. He's short though, standing at just 5'7, and he has the classic short man's complex. He's loud and blustery, argumentative and aggressive. When he feels he's in the right, he will argue until he wins. He's got graying hair, but you can still see the jet black through the silver. His piercing green eyes are perpetually scowling.
Behind closed doors, however, he is gentle and loving, and spoils his wife, Dorlena, to no end. He adores his children, and dotes on them all the time.
Background: Born the eldest son to Lord Holder Banblar, the previous Lord Holder of Cibryen, Kymblar was born and bred to be the Lord. He grew up learning the ins and outs of running the hold, and there was never any doubt he would be the one to take it over. His father died when he was 35, and he's been Holding ever since. His next eldest brother is his steward, and the other brothers work in various positions of authority throughout the hold, although one of them was Searched and went to Cibyren Weyr, where he became a brownrider. H'lar and his brown Justith still visit the hold regularly.
His marriage to Dorlene was an arranged one, but it proved to be a love match as well as a convenience match. They have produced seven children, three boys and four girls, and his eldest son is the promising heir to the Hold.
