Available Positions

What do we need most RIGHT NOW?

Crafters! We are short on harpers, healers, and ALL craftfolk. We only have a handful. We also need blues and greens.

Lower Caverns We need lower caverns folk to fill out the ranks, and support our dragonriders.

The following positions can be applied for at any time:

Apprentice, Journeyman/woman to any craft
Blue, Green or Brown Dragonrider
Holder
Drudge (come on folks, every Weyr needs some...)
Harper (feel free to create songs and poems to be posted on the Weyr page!)
Cot Holders
Thugs, Thieves, Holdless (make Cibryen interesting!)
Anything else you can think of! (if it's not on this list, we've either forgotten or you'll need to get it approved by the BoD)

Goldriders:

We currently have no openings for goldriders at Cibryen.

Bronzeriders:

Cibryen Weyr is full up on bronzes for the moment. From now on, bronzes must be impressed, or you must write or adopt a chromatic dragon or nonrider position first.

Browns, Greens, and Blues:

These colours are the only ones allowed to be requested without having to Impress. To obtain a blue, brown or green dragon, just specify on your Persona sheet which color you would like. We need more adult blues in the weyr right now! We have a rather embarassing shortage. Please, we need them! We have TONS of browns.

Wingleaders and Wingseconds:

Bronze or brown only for wingleader, any color for wingsecond. Apply to the BoD if you are interested.

Lord and Lady Holders:

If you feel you can take on the responsibility of creating a webpage for your Hold and running the Hold effectively, then you are welcome to, but please, only those serious about the position apply.

Craftmaster:

You are welcome to apply for this position, but if you do, be warned that your persona will be seriously evaluated before the position is handed out to a person.

Because of so many people applying for rank and not playing their ranking characters, Cibryen has enacted posting requirements. For exact information about these requirements, please see the rules

Complete Rank Listing

Here is a list of ranks that we have here at Cibryen. Not all of these are available. Please ask the BoD first. Some of these must be approved. All characters MUST have a rank, even if its only holdless.

May be applied for at any time (always open)

Wingrider - regular wingrider. May be any color, but metallics must be approved.
Wingrider/Searchrider - Blue or green, with occasional brown.
Healer Wingrider - Wingrider in the Healer's Wing
Weyrling - Dragonrider-in-training: dragons under 18 months, usually.
Journeyman Crafter (any craft)
Senior Apprentice Crafter (any craft)
Junior Apprentice Crafter (any craft)
Holder - People who live in a hold
Lower Caverns Worker - Not drudges...paid workers.
Drudge - work for food and lodging, basically. Usually does the worst stuff.
Candidate - Stands for Impression.
Holdless, thug - many variations, be creative.
Weyrbrat - Weyrborn children, unapprenticed as of yet.
Holdbrat - Same as above, only in the holds.
Cook - self explanatory.
If you have a rank idea that is not on this list, please email the BoD and we'll be happy to consider it.

Senior Weyrwoman - Lifelong position, leads the Weyr, usually first dragon to mate after previous Weyrwoman dies or retires.
Weyrleader - Leads the wings, chosen by mating flight.
Weyrsecond - Weyrleader's Wingsecond. Chosen by mating flight.
Weyrwoman Second - Lifelong position. Weyrwoman's Wingsecond.
Weyrlingmaster - Trains Weyrlings
Weyrlingmaster Assistant - Assists Weyrlingmaster in training Weyrlings
Wingleader - Leads a wing in Threadfall. Appointed by Weyrleader. (bronze or brown only)
Wingsecond - Two per wing, appointed by wingleader. (May be any color, usually bronze or brown)
Healer Wingleader - Healer's Wing Wingleader, may be any color.
Healer Wingsecond - Healer's Wing Wingsecond, may be any color.
Headwoman - Works closely with the Weyrwoman. Rules the Lower Caverns.
Headcook - Works under the Headwoman. Handles the kitchens.
Lord Holder - Runs and manages hold.
Lady Holder - Usually Lord Holder's wife, may run hold alone.
Master Crafter - Master-rank crafter (any craft)
Craftmaster - THE Mastercrafter of the craft (any craft).
