Timeline of Events

This is a timeline of events in Cibryen's history. Events marked in red have unfolded in actual roleplay since the opening of the club.

06.24.2515 - Kariza (Celaena) and Kimana born at Firestar Hold.

06.26.2515 - Kariza taken to Fort Hold, renamed Celaena and passed off by Lord Holder Celor as daughter of Lady Felaena.

06.21.2521 - First Fall of the Ninth Pass

10.05.2532 - Celaena Impressed gold Calystath at Fort Weyr.

03.22.2534 - Fort WW3 Helena left Fort to infuse Cibryen Weyr with new blood.

09.01.2534 - Weyrwoman Helena's gold Kriyeth rose to mate, went Between during mating flight. Helena suicided, and Celaena was sent to Cibryen Weyr to lead in her place.

10.18.2534 - Calystath rose to mate soon after Celaena and Kimana stepped up to lead Cibryen, and bronze Zieneth caught her.  J'dan became Weyrleader.

01.18.2535 - Calystath/Zieneth's clutch hatched.  Gold Avariath chose weyrling Tionne. {{This is the first RPed hatching of Cibryen Weyr.}}

12.10.2535 - A mysterious plague struck the area protected by Cibryen, and stretched into much of Pern.  The population was decimated, and Cibryen and Igen were stricken particularly hard.  Among the casualties of the plague were Weyrleader J'dan and the dragon of weyrling Tionne. Cibryen was left dangerously undermanned, but with the aid of the other weyrs, both weyrs were able to re-establish their populations.

01.15.2536 - Calystath rose to mate, and was caught by bronze Auvirinath.

03.20.2536 - Calystath clutched, 26 eggs, no gold.

04.15.2536 - Calystath/Auvirinath's clutch hatched.

05.29.2536 - Junior Goldrider Kesara, recuperating in the South from  a bout of fire-head, transferred to Cibryen Weyr instead of returning to her home weyr of High Reaches so she could help re-populate the Weyr.

01.21.2537 - Junior Goldrider Zalyina and her queen, Cymyrenth, transferred to Igen Weyr, which lost both of its Weyrwomen to the plague.  From High Reaches came junior goldrider Lexiana and her dragon, Arianth.  Left at Cibryen are Weyrwoman Celaena, Weyrwoman Second Kimana.

06.10.2537 - Gold Ramanth rose to mate, and was caught by newcomer G'brel's bronze Syth.  Weyrsecond M'kel became the Wingleader of Sky Fire wing, and G'brel took his place as Weyrsecond of Cibryen Weyr.  

07.16.2537 - Arralawnth's clutch hatched. Unfortunately, the gold hatchling was unable to find a suitable lifemate among the candidates, and died on the sands.

08.01.2537 - Weyrwoman Celaena was kidnapped by an unknown party for unknown reasons.  The culprits remain at large.

08.30.2537 - A woman who was suspected later to be an accomplice in Celaena's kidnapping came back and befriend Kimana. She then drugged her and impersonated the Weyrwoman 2nd, fooling everyone into believing it was truly the Weyrwoman Second.  Ramanth was unsure, and eventually suspected something was wrong.  Kimana awakened from her drugged stupor, and Ramanth set Kimana's blue flit Lightning to find her.

09.12.2537 - Junior goldrider Adelaide returned with Arralawnth to her home weyr of High Reaches. 

09.20.2537 - Monaco Bay Weyr has apparently been having a hard time find qualified candidates to stand for their clutches, and with a queen egg on the sands, the Weyrleaders got desperate, and sent riders to kidnap the queen candidates of Cibryen Weyr.  Several riders risked their lives to rescue the candidates.  All were successfully rescued, no one was injured.

09.27.2537 - Weyrleader C'wen suffered a massive injury during Threadfall and was left in a coma. 

10.10.2537 - Arwynna Impressed gold Rislynth.

10.27.2537 - Weyrsecond G'brel stepped up to take C'wen's place until Calystath's next flight, and Wingleader H'lerion of Ridge Runner stepped up to temporarily second G'brel.

11.29.2537 - Weyrwoman Zalyina of Igen Weyr's golden Cymyrenth rose to mate, and was caught by Wingleader F'lahar of Cibryen's bronze Kizharith.  F'lahar became Weyrleader of Igen.

12.15.2537 - Weyrleader C'wen finally succumbed to his injuries, and Weyrwoman Celaena went to Southern to rest and recover from her grief.

12.28.2537 - An unpredictable Fall devastasted Cibryen Weyr, and Weyrleader G'brel was forced to call Igen for help. Casualties were heavy, and included at least one fatality.

12.29.2537 - Igen Weyrwoman Second Lexiania's gold Arianth rose to mate, and was caught by Cibryen bronze Maruadeth, ridden by H'zeal, making H'zeal Igen's new Weyrsecond.

01.16.2537 - While Weyrwoman Celaena was recovering from her grief on the Southern Continent, Calystath rose unexpectedly to mate.  With no herdbeasts to blood, and only one bronze attending, Calystath took to the sky.  She was caught by D'vin's bronze Zamarenth.  D'vin became Weyrleader, G'brel stepped down to Weyrsecond, and H'lerion returned to Ridge Runner as wingleader.

06.09.2538 - Karena Impressed gold Aoifeth.

07.08.2538 - Flood wiped out a tithe train on its way to Cibryen Weyr. Tithe was lost, no people were injured.

09.10.2538 - Earthquake distrupted the Igen Hatching, injuring many and killing several in the process. Aftershocks were felt for weeks.

09.28.2538 - Weyrwoman Second Kimana's gold Ramanth rose to mate, and was not caught by her weyrmate G'brel's dragon.  Instead, Wingleader H'lerion's bronze Fortreth caught her after a very short flight, making him the new Weyrsecond.

11.14.2538 - A second earthquake at Igen Weyr caused half of the female Weyrling Barracks to collapse, injuring Weyrling Naryna and her gold Herzinth, among others.

12.20.2538 - Thread fell a day early over Cibryen Hold, catching Cibryen unwares.  Greenrider Laraghan was injured bringing the news, and Cibryen flew the unexpected fall, with heavy casualties. Weyrleader D'vin is severely injured.

01.25.2539 - Senior queen Calystath rose at Cibryen, and was caught by bronze Syth. Former Weyrsecond G'brel became the new Weyrleader.

02.11.2539 - Weyrling goldrider Arwynna lost between.

03.26.2539 - Oisinth and Muirneath clutched on the same day at Wavecrest Weyr.

05.04.2539 - Threadfall came early to Igen Weyr, inflicting heavy casualties

06.02.2539 - Another early Fall in Cibryen Weyr's territory. This time, the death toll was even higher, and included gold Aserith. Kesara was rescued and brought back to the Weyr.

07.09.2539 - Goldrider Kesara suicided.

07.13.2539 - Cibryen Weyr formed a new, non-Threadfall fighting Wing: Mercy Wing. In a break from tradition, greenrider Gresse named Wingleader, due to her Healing knowledge and overall Weyr experience.

09.20.2539 - Igen Weyr destroyed by volcanic eruption

12.01.2539 - Weyrling gold Jesariath rose to mate, and was caught by blue Cenrath.

04.26.2540 - Goldrider Karena transferred back to High Reaches Weyr because of severe depression and homesickness.

09.17.2540 - Weyrlingmaster I'san removed from duty due to extended illness, Assistant WLM Dayna steps up to take over the position of WLM.

10.10.2540 - Weyrwoman Celaena severely threadscored in Fall.

 3.13.2541 – Gold Tardyth, weyrling of Jesariath's clutch dies

4.14.2541 – A Gather was held at Cibryen Hold

5.11.2541 – Weyrleader G'brel is murdered, and the culprit is not apprehended.

5.18.2541 - Calystath rises and is caught by Mnerath – S'jul is the new Weyrleader. Tragedy surrounds the flight, as P'tau dies under mysterious circumstances. Olannen dies.

7.3.2541 – Gather at RCH

7.20.2541- Amarhl is summoned and questioned about Olannen's death.

8.15.2541 – Adina of gold Quaranth transfers in to be the new Weyrlingmaster

Month 9, 2541 - A draught strikes the Cibryen area- riders are pressed into duty to transport water.

11.5.2541 – Calystath's clutch Hatches.

11.14.2541 – Calystath and Ramanth fight, both Queens die and their riders suicide.

12.3.2541 – Robecca and gold Ulareth transfer in as Cibryen's new Weyrwoman - Ulareth rises, and Mnerath catches. S'jul remains Weyrleader.

12.4.2541 - Gather at RCH

13.12.2541 - Ryuenth rises.

1.1.2542 - Lord Nomir of Roaring Cliffs dies

1.6.2542 - Massive fight in the Dining Hall

2.16.2542 - Ryuenth clutches 14 eggs, including a gold.

3.16.2542 - High Flight takes a vacation to the South

4.20.2542 - Ryuenth's clutch hatches after a 12 hour delay that leaves more than one candidate out of the running from heat stroke.

Months 4,5, and 6, 2542 - A plague is rapidly spreading through the dragons of Cibryen. It eventually spreads to humans too. Many die or incapacitated, including Weyrleader S'jul. It's origins are traced back to the High Flight trip south.

5.1.2542 - The Day of the Fallen – Annual event celebrating/mourning those lost in the previous year.

6.24.2542 – Badly understaffed, the Weyr meets Thread.

8.3.2542 - Rumors begin to spread about S'jul and W'ka's involvement with P'tau's death.

8.13.2542 - Gather at Roaring Cliffs

8.28.2542 - Ulareth rises, and Telth catches, making B'rys the new Weyrleader.

9.7.2542 – Rorah transfers is as Weyrwoman Second

10.15.2542 – The Wave Runner Expedition sets off

11.05.2542 – Ulareth clutches 12 eggs.

11.7.2542 - The Wave Runner is attacked by an unknown sea creature

11.20.2542 – A disastrous Threadfall results in many injuries. The Thread passes over Cibryen's Bowl.

12.18.2542 – Ulareth's clutch hatches.
