Ninth Pass

Welcome to Wavecrest Weyr, an offline PBeM roleplaying club. We are set in the Cooperative 9th pass, and are the sister club to Cibryen Weyr. Based on Anne McCaffrey's best selling novels The Dragonriders of Pern ®, Wavecrest Weyr is a fascinating place to write, play, and have fun! All are welcome...but only those serious about sticking with us need apply.

08.01.2004 We're sorry, but Wavecrest Weyr is now closed to new membership. It is now an NPC location only. If you'd like to play in our timeline, please visit our sister weyr, Cibryen Weyr. I apologize for the delay in notifying you...I had honestly forgotten to update the website. ;) Come visit Cibryen, however, as we have a very active membership and a vibrant list. Wavecrest is still available as an originating location for personae, and you are still welcome to set stories there...just don't expect any response.

Wavecrest operates via an un-archived RP list. It was recently handed down from Alec Johnson, the administrator for Anne's site and her son, that PBeMs that have online archives violate copyright laws. Cibryen was the first of the weyrs to know this and comply, and Wavecrest follows in its sister's footsteps.

Both weyrs are set in the 19th turn of the 9th pass, in the turn 2539. AIVAS was never found, but there were Long Intervals. Wavecrest was established in the 7th Interval, and is a highly unusual weyr. It is located in the sheer face of a cliff overlooking the ocean, and was built on a very close relationship with its closest beholden Hold, Mairen Hold.
